Decennial Day Celebrations



C-DAC, Hyderabad, has celebrated its Decennial function on 14th February 2009 at Birla Science Centre Auditorium, Hyderabad. Shri R Chandrashekhar, IAS, Special Secretary, Department of Information Technology, Govt. of India was the Chief Guest of this function and presided over by Shri S. Ramakrishnan, Director General, C-DAC. Prof. Anurag Kumar, Chairman, Electrical Sciences Division, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore delivered special lecture on “Wireless Adhoc Sensor Networks: Pervasive Systems for Measurement and Interference”. Shri Rajesh Jain, Founder and Managing Director, NetCore Solutions Pvt Ltd, Mumbai gave a special talk on “Emerging Technologies & opportunities for Entreprenuership”. Senior members Shri Rajan joseph, Shri Ravindra Kumar, Shri S P Dixit, Dr. Poharkar, Dr. Subrata from other C-DAC centers also participated in this function.


Dr. N Sarat Chandra Babu, Director, C-DAC, Hyderabad highlighted the important activities of the Centre through an Audio-Visual show, “A Decade of Journey by C-DAC, Hyderabad”. Shri Ramakrishnan in his presidential address appreciated the progress of the Centre under the able leadership of Dr. Sarat Chandra Babu. Shri R Chandrasekhar in his address indicated that the country has seen tremendous transformation in a short span of time. He further emphasized the necessity for technology and business innovation coupled with networking to turn the existing challenging period of the IT sector to an opportunity that benefits the nation.

Members who have contributed in various capacities for the development of the Centre over the decade were felicitated with mementoes and citation.

As part of the Decennial celebrations an Exhibition was also organized for the public in the same venue, showcasing various products, services and solutions developed by C-DAC Hyderabad over the last 10 years.
