About the Workshop :

Virtualization provides flexibility to run two or more  boxes running all together different Operating systems on a single piece of hardware infrastructure. Thereby Virtualization technologies clearly hold significant promise for the enterprise by enabling energy-efficient computing, better hardware utilization (like processor, memory, storage resources) with improved service and performance and reduced downtime. The scope of "Virtualization Technologies" includes techniques and concepts to enable virtual machines, virtual networks, virtual storage and virtual applications.

Workshop Objectives :

  • Describe the basics of Virtualization and its key concepts
  • Describe various types of Virtualization and its differences
  • Discuss the uses of Virtualization and several deployment scenarios by connecting to Real time use cases
  • Illustrate various Virtualization products and its features with hands-on exercises in lab

Target Audience :

Participants can be from academic institutions, R&D  organizations, industry who are keenly interested in learning more about Virtualization. The workshop is designed specifically to help novice to intermediate users to quickly deploy the virtual machines in their labs and make them work to their full potential.

The venue for the workshop will be C-DAC,  JNTUH Campus, Kukatpally, Hyderabad.
