Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), the national initiative of the Department of  Information Technology (DIT), Ministry of Communications and  Information Technology (MC&IT), Government of India for research and development in Electronics and Information Technology, traverses an array of multi-technological domains to cater to the emerging needs of the nation. Since its inception, C-DAC has strived to be at the forefront of indigenous technology development and technical competence, honing its expertise in cutting edge technologies to meet the technological challenges of the future.

C-DAC's focus on technologies are High Performance Computing (HPC) including Scientific Modeling & Visualization, Multilingual Computing, Applied Artificial  Intelligence and Speech Processing, Software including Free & Open Source Software, Multimedia, Graphics & Database Technologies, Strategic & Power Electronics,

Agrielectronics, Ubiquitious Computing, Real Time Systems, Embedded Systems & VLSI Design, health Informatics, Geomatics, Cyber Security, Digital / Broadband & Wireless Networks, e-Governance & ICT for Digital pide and Education & Training including e-Learning.

C-DAC established its Hyderabad Centre in the year 1999 to work as a Research, Development and Training centre embracing the latest Hardware & Software technologies.

 

The Unique Growth Model

C-DAC Hyderabad has successfully followed and implemented a growth model to meet the objectives of the center. The bidiretional flow of the three entitities R&D, Training and Business are identified with Knowledge respectively. This model  has brought in learning, sharing of knowledge and synergy among various activities of the center. In this model of the centre's focus has been on the three functional domains involving.
